After a week-long celebration and participation in sports competition held in NIA Central Office during the June 20 - 24, 2016, 53rd anniversary of the agency, NIA Region 3 likewise spent a precious time to conduct its own celebration.
In the wee hours, concerned employees assigned for the preparation of the activity jointly exerted effort to patch up what are the necessities for the event. Early morning sweat flowed in the faces of personnel assigned in the physical preparation at the covered court at dawn of June 27, beating the 8 o’clock Flag raising ceremony and the official start of the event. It was attended by employees from all Irrigation Management Offices and Regional Office as well. The presidents of IA Federations were also present.
As usual, the event is primarily composed of anniversary messages from the key officials of the NIA Region 3 led by its untiring and lovely Manager Josephine B. Salazar. Counterpart of it is the message rendered by the RCIA President Daniel Villanueva.
Giving of awards and plaque of recognition to all employees with exemplary performance is one of the highlight of the event. Among the awards given are; Best Employee of the Year for the IMOs and the Regional Office, Best Back Account Collector of the Year (3 places), Best Current Account Collector of the Year (3 places), Most Outstanding IA of CIS and NIS, CARP Most Outstanding IA and the Best IMO of the Year. A special recognition for the award received in National Level was cited in favor of the CABAGO IA and of course to the Regional Manager Josephine B. Salazar for outstanding and immeasurable to support to the CABAGO IA leading for its exemplary performance in the CIS level nationwide.
To make the day even more festive, guest singers from all IMOs and Regional Office rendered cheerful songs. Of course, raffle draw is the most awaited part of the event. There were thirty six (36) assorted grocery items worth Php 500 were given to employees through raffle. Appliances as major prize were likewise given to lucky employees through raffle. In the spirit of equality, lottery was drawn by IMO except for the major prizes, wherein all remaining stubs where placed in one container and drawn. Loyalty awards with corresponding cash prices were also given to NIA employees who have rendered services 10 years in service and every 5 years thereafter. The award for the selection of NIA Region 3 logo was also granted to its winner.
Though the event is quite short, its meaning and festivity is immeasurable and its memory will always be remembered and will remain to all employees of the NIA Region 3. Thanking the NIA Region 3 Manager Josephine B. Salazar is righteous, for the event was organized and materialized through her endeavor.
