To assess the effectiveness and impact of the Farming Support Services Program (FSSP) on local farmers, State Auditor IV Rebecca B. Villanueva conducted an interview on January 30, 2025, at the NIA Tarlac IMO office. This session followed the program’s orientation meeting held on January 13, 2025, at the NIA Central Office. The purpose was to gather insights from participating Irrigators' Associations (IAs) and representatives from IAs that did not participate in the program.
NIA Tarlac IMO ensured key figures attended, including the Chief of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Section, the Head of the Institutional Development Unit (IDU), and IA representatives from the region. Each participating IA sent up to three members, while eight IA Presidents from non-participating associations were also present.
The interview provided an opportunity to evaluate how the program was implemented and its impact on farmers. The feedback gathered will help refine future support services and improve the program’s effectiveness.
