100 FARMERS OF TUPAD BENEFICIARIES RECEIVED THEIR PAYOUT

In commemoration of today’s Labor Day, NIA-TARLAC IMO, through the Camiling River Irrigation System (CAMRIS) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), facilitated the payout distribution to 100 beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers Program (TUPAD) for the services rendered in cleaning part of Main Canal and Lateral A. The program aimed to enhance the irrigation efficiency of the said canals for effective and efficient delivery of irrigation water that will benefit more than 590 farmers of the system. Each beneficiary received a total of P5,000.00 after completing their 10 working days of canal clearing in the barangays of Caanamongan, Sta. Ignacia, Gossood Mayantoc, and Matubog, Camiling.

The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) is fully dedicated to support and extend all possible assistance for the success of DOLE’s program and alleviate the day-to-day subsistence of the initial beneficiaries. Also, a day of gratitude for the five recipients of DOLE’s Integrated Livelihood Program (sari-sari store showcase). Each of them received a certificate of eligibility for their requested project worth P30,000.00. Indeed, it is a happy Labor Day to all the TUPAD Workers and DOLE program recipients! Attending the aforementioned activity were Tarlac IMO Acting Division Manager Engr. Alvin Roberto A. David, CAMRIS Acting Chief Engr. Rogelio D. Velasco, Jr.,Tarlac IDU Head Owen A. Matias, Senior IDO Rachelle Eugenia Dizon, and Chief Labor and Employment Officer Jose Roberto L. Navata, Labor and Employment Officer Desire J. Gonzales, and DOLE TUPAD Coordinators Mr. Ronnie Dela Cruz and Mr. Jeffrey Roque.
