NIA Tarlac-San Miguel-O’Donnell River Irrigation System (TASMORIS) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) successfully initiated the payout of the TUPAD Program at the Bulwagan ng Gobernador ng Tarlac, Provincial Capitol. The said event on August 1, 2024 held distribution of payout to 122 farmers from District II. It was ade possible through the funding support of Representative Christian Yap.
The TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) Program aims to provide immediate employment to displaced workers and underemployed farmers, ensuring they receive a source of income in exchange for their service. It focuses on canal clearing in three key areas of Tarlac, a crucial task to enhance irrigation efficiency and agricultural productivity. The collaboration between NIA TASMORIS and DOLE underscores the commitment of the government to support local farmers and improve rural infrastructure.
