In a continuous effort to empower local farmers and promote agricultural productivity, NIA Tarlac IMO awarded 34 Shallow Tube Wells (STWs) to selected Farmer Irrigators Associations (FIAs) in Tarlac.
Led by Regional Manager Engr. Josephine B. Salazar, the awarding ceremonies were held on various locations and areas in CAMRIS, NIA Tarlac IMO Covered Court, and TASMORIS on September 3, 2024. This initiative is in response to the farmers' requests and shows NIA's commitment in providing essential resources for irrigation.
The STWs handed over to the IAs are expected to enhance the irrigation capacity of these associations, ensuring more efficient water distribution for their farmlands. Regional Manager Salazar, alongside Administrative and Finance Division Manager Rochelle R. Cervantes, Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Christian C. Manalo, and Tarlac IMO Manager Engr. Alvin Roberto A. David personally awarded the certificates to the FIA representatives.
