Showing its commitment to fully support local farmers in increasing rice production, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) - Bulacan IMO handed over 37 shallow tube wells to farmers from the NIS and CIS of Bulacan IMO today, held at the NIA Region III Covered Court in Tambubong, San Rafael, Bulacan.
Present at the event were Regional Manager Engr. Josephine B. Salazar, Bulacan IMO Manager Engr. Placida C. Cordero, O&M Acting Section Chief Engr. Janelle I. Santos, IDU Head Mr. Virgilio G. Marasigan, and Bulacan IMO Administrative and Finance Acting Section Chief Ma. Lourdes Dela Cruz.
And with the farmers being grateful for the new equipment, they have expressed optimism too that achieving higher crop yields is now more attainable which will significantly contribute to achieving a more sustainable agriculture in the region.
