To improve project efficiency, ensure compliance with quality standards through hands-on material testing, and foster a culture of continuous professional development, the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program - Irrigation Component (CARP-IC), under the National Irrigation Administration, conducted a 5-day training on project Construction Management and Workshop on Sampling and Material Testing at the NIA Region III Farmers Training Center, San Rafael, Bulacan, on November 4-8, 2024.
The said training was under the supervision of CARP-IC Acting Project Manager Engr. Robertino O. Lapeña, and Engineering Division Manager Engr. Alfred D. Amoloria, and it was attended by Area Monitors from CARP-IC PMO, Regional CARP Coordinators, and Engineer A from field offices, from Regions 2,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,and CARAGA under CARP-IC.
Speakers of the said training were from the NIA- Central Office including Engr. Christian D. Galano, Engr. Mark Edward L. Avila, Ms. Mary Rose N. Reyes and from JRMP II Region 6, Engr. Cyril B. Sabete, providing the participants a hands-on experience in project management, as well as sampling and material testing, making sure that construction materials meet stringent quality standards.
Overall, the event intended to strengthen the technical capacity of CARP-IC personnel to promote continuous improvement and uphold high standards in its irrigation projects, contributing to the long-term success of agricultural initiatives.
