The NIA Regional Office No. III, under the leadership of Engr. Josephine B. Salazar, through the Zambales Irrigation Management Office led by the Acting IMO Manager, Engr. Rolando C. Espino, stands as one of the active participating agencies in the Inauguration of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) at Botolan People's Plaza in Botolan, Zambales. The BPSF, a flagship program of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., is the largest service caravan that brings social services and programs closer to underserved communities. This event was marked as the first-ever BPSF caravan in Central Luzon.
During the launch, five Irrigators Association (IA) Presidents from the NIA Zambales IMO were awarded Ceremonial Certificates of Exemption in the Payment of Irrigation Service Fee under RA 10969. Among the notable attendees were Honorable Speaker Martin G. Romualdez, Hon. Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr., Hon. Doris E. Maniquiz, representatives from various Congressional Districts in the Region, local elected officials, as well as representatives from different provincial, regional, and national government offices. The fair served as a platform for fruitful engagement and collaboration among government agencies, promoting the effective delivery of services to the public.
With our agency’s pivotal role in irrigation development, the NIA Zambales Irrigation Management Office (IMO) actively offered essential services to our main clientele – our farmers. Among the comprehensive services provided during this event were processing of Irrigation Service Fee (ISF) Condonation/Exemption requests, and NIA Certifications, Validation and Updating of RSBSA data to IA Masterlist, and evaluation of requests/inquiries related to irrigation projects.
