The Division 5 of NIA Bulacan IMO – Angat-Maasim River Irrigation System (AMRIS) has taken the lead in releasing the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Subsidy for the CY 2024 Dry Cropping Season.
NIA Bulacan IMO remains steadfast in managing, supervising, and monitoring the Angat-Maasim River Irrigation System (AMRIS), a National Irrigation System (NIS) composed of 15 Divisions with 116 Irrigators Associations (IAs). The successful release of O&M Subsidy was attributed to the dedicated effort of the O&M Chief, Engr. Ernesto L. Mapoy. Jr. under the leadership of Bulacan IMO Manager Engr. Placida C. Cordero.
Composed of Plaridel Malolos IA, Inc., Lagum IA, Inc., Samahan ng Look Lugam Balante IA, Inc., LSDR IA, Inc., Sto. Niño Barihan IA, Inc., Puno’t Dulo IA, Inc. and Camlongan IA, Inc., AMRIS Division 5 received a total O&M subsidy amounting to P485,055.00. The subsidy is part of the CY 2024 Dry Season O&M program and was granted per Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 147, Series of 2023, which amended MC No. 91, s.of 2021. This amendment significantly increased the O&M subsidy from P150 per hectare per cropping to P500 per hectare per cropping, providing much-needed support to the farmers.
