On August 21, 2024, the Pampanga-Bataan IMO, under the leadership of Division Manager Engr. Ruben R. Llamas, released the second check for the Calendar Year 2024 Dry Season Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Subsidy amounting to P1.665 million . This subsidy was awarded to the Porac Gumain River Irrigation System (PGRIS) Federation of Irrigators Associations (IAs), Inc.
The check was officially handed over to PGRIS Federation of IA President Romeo P. Pingul who was accompanied by Mr. Manuel Saddi, Chairperson of San Pablo 2nd IA, Mrs. Zenida Ocampo, Chairperson of SPR IA, Mr. Edgar Zita, Chairperson of FL Gusto, and Mr. June Kabiling, Chairperson of Porac East Council. The successful release of the subsidy was made possible through the continued efforts of O&M PGRIS Acting Chief Engr. Alexius S. Academia, IDU Chief Reyna S. Sabado, and their dedicated staff.
As NIA continues to roll out these subsidies, the Agency reaffirms its commitment to empowering farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity in Pampanga and Bataan. The successful implementation of these programs is expected to bolster the region’s agricultural sector, contributing to food security and the overall economic development of the area.
