Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) held its second round of Orientation and Contract Signing on August 15, 2024 at NIA-CAMRIS Office in Malacampa, Camiling, Tarlac. This event was facilitated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and in collaboration with NIA Tarlac Irrigation Management Office, benefited 212 farmer-members from the Irrigators Associations (IAs) in the Municipalities of Mayantoc, Santa Ignacia, and Camiling.
TUPAD program aims to supplement the farmers’ income by providing temporary work in canal clearing and each beneficiary set to work up to eight hours a day for 10 days with a daily wage of P500.00. Canal clearing activities will be conducted in the barangays of Mayantoc including Taldiapan, Cubcub, Rotrottooc, barangays of Camiling including Cayasan, Anoling 3rd, Doclong 2nd and Pao 1st, and Caanamongan, Sta. Ignacia, and Catagudingan of San Clemente.
The event was attended by Acting Chief of CAMRIS, Engr. Rogelio D. Velasco Jr., Senior Labor and Employment Officer Ronnie T. Pablo, TUPAD Coordinators Mr. Ronnie Dela Cruz, Mr. Aaron Jan Bayan, and Ms. Hazel Ayuman, 1st Congressional District Manager Mr. Robert Randolph S. Moullic, and Federation of IA President Rodenio T. Sotero.
