With the theme "Central Luzon's Best: EPAHP CBOs Featuring Local Flavors and Handmade Treasures", NIA Region III participated to the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAH) Bazaar on September 23-25, 2024 at SM City San Fernando, Pampanga. Led by DSWD Central Luzon Regional Director Venus F. Rebuldela, the event featured an array of local products and delicacies. Exhibitors from various government agencies were invited by DSWD and DTI to showcase the best offerings from Central Luzon’s community-based organizations.
Key displays included rice-based products from the H20 IA, Inc. (Zambales IMO) and chili and processed goods from the CAMACABAN Farmers IA, Inc. (Tarlac IMO). One of the highlights of the bazaar was the P29 Bagong Bayani Magsasaka Rice, sourced from NIA Pampanga Delta River Irrigation System, Bulacan Angat Maasim River Irrigation System, and Tarlac San Miguel O'Donnell River Irrigation System. During the event, NIA Region III Institutional Development Section Chief Eden N. Garcia expressed her gratitude to the DSWD for inviting NIA to the said event. She received the Certificate of Participation on behalf of NIA Regional Manager Engr. Josephine B. Salazar.
With the conduct of EPAHP Bazaar, the importance of local craftsmanship and agricultural resilience was emphasized, reinforcing Central Luzon’s commitment to sustainable growth and economic development.
