A consultation meeting was held at the DA Conference Room in Zaragoza to discuss the construction of the Sabo Dam along the Talavera River on January 16, 2025.
Attendees included the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), the mayor of LGU Zaragoza, administrative staff, as well as representatives from the acting chief and engineering personnel of ANE IMO, DPWH-NE 1st DEO construction staff, and local farmers.
The discussions focused on the potential impact of the dam on downstream farmers, particularly during the dry season, and concerns about the steel gate to be installed on the dam. The project is funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and is being monitored by the Office for Convergence Projects.
