The Angat Maasim RIS participated in a meeting organized by the Municipal Agricultural Office of Candaba, Pampanga on December 09, 2021, at Magumbali, Candaba, Pampangato.
The said meeting was also attended by the Barangay/Town Officials, Irrigators Association Presidents, and representatives from NIA-UPRIIS and NIA Pampanga Delta RIS. It was discussed that the irrigation water shortage coming from the Upper Pampanga River is affecting the farms in Candaba, Pampanga. Therefore, NIA-Pampanga Delta RIS will help to sustain the farmlands in the tail-end barangays of Candaba, Pampanga. The Municipal Mayor wanted to survey the entire town of Candaba, Pampanga together with the Engineering and Development Corporation of the Philippines (EDCOP) to determine the long-term solution to provide irrigation water especially in the tail-end barangays.
