On April 30, 2024, a total of 35 beneficiaries from the Federation of Irrigators Association – Bucao RIS (FIA-BRIS) were approved to receive financial support from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). After completing the necessary documents and trainings, they collectively received a sum of P525,000.
The SLP is designed to improve the economic prospects and living standards of marginalized individuals by providing them with vital skills, resources, and assistance to enhance their livelihoods. As part of this program, the beneficiaries will participate in Urban Gardening, which aims to connect them with potential markets and promote sustainable income generation.
