Distribution of Shallow Tube Well

The NIA Tarlac-San Miguel-O’Donnell RIS (TASMORIS) irrigates 8,272 hectares for dry cropping wherein more than 7,573 hectares are now at the vegetative stage.

With the reduced available irrigation water at Tarlac Diversion Dam, NIA R3 Regional Manager and Concurrent Deputy Administrator for the Engineering and Operations Sector Engr. Josephine B. Salazar initiated the release of 5 Shallow Tube Wells (STWs) as mitigating measure for the El Niño phenomenon.Beneficiaries of this program are TASMORIS IA Federation, Inc. presidents Alfredo C. Magdangal (La Paz Mendez FIA), Rogelio T. Sotto (Tarlac Mid-Eastern FIA), Arturo C. Saavedra (Dalayap Tarlac FIA), Pedro S. Nicdao (Dela Paz South FIA), and Julian T. Tagata (St. Joseph Gerona Tarlac FIA).

The Tarlac IMO Management headed by Acting Division Manager Engr. Alvin Roberto A. David, with Engr. Enrique G. Carlos - Chief of the Operations and Maintenance TASMORIS, Mr. Owen A. Matias - Head of the Institutional Development Unit, Mr. Angelito D. Tañedo - Chief of the Administrative and Finance Section, and Mr. Jimmy C. Fajardo - Acting Property Officer, led this program in support to our farmers' needs.
