DOLE RELIEF AND SUPPORT

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) provided relief and support to Tarlac residents by distributing payouts to 212 TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) beneficiaries  at the NIA Camiling River Irrigation System (CAMRIS) Office in Malacampa, Camiling, Tarlac on October 28, 2024.

Hundreds of Tarlac residents gathered at the NIA CAMRIS Office for the TUPAD payout. The initiative, covering beneficiaries from Camiling, Mayantoc, and Santa Ignacia, is part of NIA and DOLE’s ongoing efforts to support informal sector workers affected by economic disruptions, and it was also made possible through the continuous effort of Hon. Jaime D. Cojuanco, the congressman of the first legislative district of Tarlac.

As many participants rely on this aid to supplement their livelihood, the payout provided much-needed assistance to residents enhancing their communities through temporary work projects. The beneficiaries for this round, labeled Batches 2A and 2B, had completed their work assignments from August 22 to September 4 and September 9 to 19, 2024, respectively.

Through these TUPAD programs, DOLE enables local workers to engage in community improvement projects, gain new skills, and provide for their families, contributing positively to their municipalities.
