The NIA Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO), through Engr. Alexius S. Academia, Acting Chief of the Porac Gumain River Irrigation Systems (PGRIS), reaffirmed its dedication to sustainable agriculture during a follow-up meeting with FAEGER Co. Ltd. on January 7, 2025.
Building upon earlier discussions on the advantages of Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) techniques in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, NIA emphasized its unwavering commitment to mitigating climate change and promoting eco-friendly farming. To ensure the success of this initiative, farmers' training sessions have been scheduled, empowering them with the skills and knowledge to adopt greener, more sustainable practices.
Through this approach, NIA PamBat IMO is charting a path toward a greener, more resilient future for Philippine agriculture.
