PAIS NRPW:
After years of waiting, finally, the NIA Region 3 Farmers Training Center turned into reality when its construction and furnishing was completed before the end of the year 2017. The management made sure that the building be of use in the coming year of the Dog, 2018.
The maiden user of the establishment is the Public Affairs and Information Staff (PAIS) conducting its National Review and Planning Workshop for the Public Relations Officers of NIA nationwide. It was a three (3) day Seminar, recalling of the past one year’s activities conducted by each PRO in their respective regions through reportorial method. Likewise, there were inputs that the PAIS staff shared in accordance with the new NIA Administration.
The group was also required to submit the plan of activities about to conduct for the year 2018 with the corresponding budget requirement for fund allocation from the management. The submitted plan of activities will also serve as the monitoring instrument of the PAIS if the PRO’s are on the right track of performing their duties and responsibilities.
The last day of the seminar was made use of the group to visit the ongoing construction of the AngatAfterbay Regulator (Bustos) Dam in San Rafael side. Likewise, to visit the old,but the very first NIA Training Center located in Barangay Lico, San Rafael, Bulacan where the young once used to reminisce the past when they are still a juvenile public servant and attending seminars in said training center.
The PAIS-NRPW was spearheaded by its Manager, Pilipina P. Bermudez and hosted by the mesmerizingly beautiful NIA Region 3 Manager Josephine B. Salazar.
SUCCEEDING SEMINARS:
After the NRPW that PAIS conducted, series of Trainings/Seminars in national, regional and provincial (IMO) level likewise conducted same. The biggest amongst is the Capability Building Seminar and Code of Conduct and Ethical Standard Seminar for the Regional and Project Managers of NIA, which was conducted on April 23 – 27, 2018. And then again on May 7 – 11, the same seminar was conducted which by then was attended by IMO and Division Managers from different NIA Offices in Luzon.
Deputy Administrator for Administrative and Finance Maj Gen Romeo G Gan also attended the seminars to see to it that the attendance is 100% complete or else, absentees will again undergo the training.
On the other hand, the FTC is also the venue of regional assessments, staff meetings, women’s month celebration, theGenderand Development seminars and even for the conduct of Irrigators Association (IA) meetings.
At present, gatherings/meetings/seminars are on booked, up to September of this year and expected to increase bookings up to December.
