Three months before the creation of National Irrigation Administration under Presidential Decree No. 552, a baby girl was born in Cabanatuan City. The proud parent named the new born Josephine.
The baby turned to be child and a lady after many years and became a professional Civil Engineer. National Irrigation Administration adopted Josephine and later became NIA Region 3 Manager.
Without her knowledge, the NIA Regional Office staff with the support of all Division Managers region wide prepared a simple celebration for her 55th birthday. A non-luxurious occasion to be added to the list of her birthday celebrations.
In the morning of March 19, 2018, in compliance to the memorandum issued by JBS herself, picture taking of all NIA Region 3 employees per Division/IMO was conducted in compliance to the instruction of the NIA Central Office for publication in the office’s Coffee Table Book.
After a simple lunch prepared for the employees, a short program was conducted. Accompanied with a soft music played by a donated Band, 54 red and fresh roses was offered to the lovely celebrant by selected NIA Region 3 employees and the 55th flower, a bunch of white tulips was given to her by the Regional Mother, Mommy Espie and Jolay (JBS mom and daughter). Afterwards a toast with the celebrant was cheered.
A bountiful dinner, courtesy of Madam Josie was shared to the employees, followed by offered birthday songs with the band for the celebrant. A short but an experience to remember by the beautiful NIA Region 3 Manager, Josephine B. Salazar.
