The Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative continued to make waves in Tarlac, offering residents access to affordable rice. Supported by NIA Tarlac IMO, the program aims to provide essential, reasonably priced rice to the public, and was held at two locations in the province.
On February 5, 2025, at the Provincial Capitol Building in Tarlac City, NIA Tarlac IMO staff sold 200 bags of rice at Php 290 each, with each bag weighing 10 kilograms. The event drew a large crowd eager to take advantage of the affordable prices. The following day, February 6, 2025, the program moved to the Barangay Covered Court in Sta. Monica, Concepcion, Tarlac, where an additional 300 bags were sold, maintaining the same price and weight.
The Kadiwa ng Pangulo program is part of the government’s efforts to support local farmers while ensuring that staple food items remain affordable for consumers. By offering rice at Php 29 per kilogram, the initiative aligns with the Farming Support Services Program and directly benefits communities. As the program expands, it continues to bring essential goods closer to the people at budget-friendly prices.
