The KADIWA ng Pangulo Event is now happening at the NIA Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO) in Floridablanca, Pampanga to bring affordable and fresh agricultural products to the local community.
The said event became possible with the support of NIA Regional Manager Engr. Josephine B. Salazar and PamBat IMO Manager Engr. Ruben R. Llamas. Led by Porac Gumain River Irrigation System (PGRIS) O&M Acting Chief Engr. Alexius S. Academia, Bataan Satellite Office Head Engr. Janelle Inavit-Santos, and Institutional Development Unit (IDU) Head Reyna S. Sabado, 200 sacks of rice were sold at only P29 per kilo, all sourced from PGRIS Irrigators Associations (IAs) participating to NIA’s Rice Contract Farming Program.
The event showcased various IAs’ produce, including mushroom products, fresh vegetables, and processed goods, all highlighting the diverse agricultural output of the region. This initiative strengthens the partnership between NIA and the farmers, helping provide affordable food options while supporting local communities.
