LAUNCH OF DONATION DRIVE AND CEREMONY HONORING OF RETIREES AND TOP-PERFORMING SYSTEMS

Two momentous events were held on December 19, 2024 at the Covered Court of NIA Region III in San Rafael, Bulacan — the launch of a donation drive to support employees affected by Typhoon Pepito in the Province of Aurora, as well as the ceremony honoring the retirees and top-performing systems.

The donation drive was testament to NIA’s commitment in securing the welfare of its employees. It fostered the bayanihan spirit and solidarity among NIAns to help their Auroran colleagues who were impacted by Typhoon Pepito. Indeed, a demonstration of a strong sense of community within the Agency and the region.

On the other hand, 11 retirees were recognized from various offices and provinces. Each of them dedicated several years to the Agency. The retirees are as follows: Welbar I. Cueto (ANE IMO), Rizalito S. Pangan (PamBat IMO), Herminio B. Santos (Tarlac IMO), Danilo B. Ferrer (Tarlac IMO), Jesfer D. Lingat (PamBat IMO), Florante E. Ballesteros (Tarlac IMO), Rolando C. Espino (Zambales IMO), Eliseo V. Bitangcol (Regional Office), Hernando C. Damian, Jr. (Regional Office), Lilibeth L. Marquez (Regional Office), and Fe G. Clara (Regional Office).

Moreover, NIA Region III also recognized the outstanding performances of irrigation systems in the Inter-IMO Canal Visitation Program. The Disalit Creek RIS (ANE IMO) was declared as the Best Maintained System. The Porac-Gumia RIS (PamBat IMO) was named the Most Improved System, followed by the Colo-Layak-Balsik RIS (PamBat IMO).

Under the Best Irrigation System Category, the Camiling RIS (Tarlac IMO) topped the list, followed by the Porac-Gumia RIS (PamBat IMO) and the Disalit Creek RIS (ANE IMO). Additionally, the Aurora-Nueva Ecija IMO was recognized as the Best Irrigation Management Office for its exemplary performance in 2024.

Overall, the event showcased the dedication and excellence of NIA's workforce while fostering a sense of community and unity. The recognition of retirees, the celebration of outstanding performances, and the collective effort to support typhoon-affected employees reflect the Agency's commitment in public service excellence.
