Headed by Engr. Janelle Inavit-Santos, NIA Bataan Satellite Office of the Pampanga-Bataan IMO conducted a coordination meeting with the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, and Samal on June 3, 2024. The meeting focused on the development of La Niña Action Plan, the identification of flood-prone areas within each municipality, and their respective preparedness plans.
During the meeting, NIA proposed various mitigation strategies to address potential flooding issues. A NIA Readiness Flow Chart and a Response Team were also established. It was agreed upon that NIA, in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and Municipal Engineering Office (MEO), shall act as the municipal focal points for updating, monitoring, and disseminating information during typhoons and floods.
