Gearing up due to Typhoon Pepito, the NIA Bataan Satellite Office Acting Head Engr. Ruela C. Musngi conducted an inspection of key irrigation dams in Bataan on November 15, 2024. The inspected dams included Colo Dam, Maguindong Dam, Layac Dam, and Balsik Dam. This activity was initiated by the said office in coordination with the Operations Staff.
The purpose of the inspection was to assess the structural integrity of the dams for potential damage and evaluate their operational preparedness to protect farmers and surrounding communities from possible hazards.
Additionally, the agency implies a call to all stakeholders to stay informed with accurate information, follow official advisories, and prioritize safety during the typhoon.
