NIA BULACAN IMO CONDUCTS CLEARING AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES ON AMRIS

The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Bulacan Irrigation Management Office (IMO) has conducted clearing and maintenance operations on canals under the Angat Maasim River Irrigation System (AMRIS) to ensure smooth water flow and prevent blockages last October 29, 2024.

The Operation and Maintenance Section, in coordination with the Equipment Unit, worked on the South Main Canal in Brgy. Vizal Sto. Cristo, Candaba, Pampanga, and Canal Lateral D7 in Brgy. San Roque, San Luis, Pampanga. These activities included the removal and disposal of accumulated garbage, debris, and overgrown vegetation, all critical in maintaining uninterrupted water delivery to local farmers.

Led by IMO Manager Engr. Placida C. Cordero and O&M Acting Chief Engr. Janelle I. Santos, the Bulacan IMO emphasized its commitment to providing efficient irrigation services to boost agricultural productivity. This initiative not only supports farmers but also ensures the sustainability of water resources for communities relying on AMRIS.
