Amidst heavy rainfall brought by Typhoon Enteng, NIA Region III, headed by Regional Manager Engr. Josephine B. Salazar, opened two KADIWA stalls in the Provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga on September 2, 2024 to help the local communities.
At NIA Regional Office in San Rafael, Bulacan, 347 sacks of rice at the price of P29 per kilo were sold to the residents, prioritozing senior citizens, solo parents, persons with special needs, and members of 4Ps. It was successfully conducted through coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development of San Rafael.
On the other hand, at NIA Working Station 10 of Bulacan IMO in Calantipe, Apalit, Pampanga, 300 sacks were sold to the local residents. It aims to ensure food security, to protect consumers, and to provide assistance to the farmers.
The program became possible with the support of Engineering and Operations Division Manager Engr. Christian C. Manalo, Bulacan IMO Manager Placida C. Cordero, Bulacan IMO Operations and Maintenance Section Chief Ernesto L. Mapoy Jr., Bulacan IMO Engineering Section Chief Wendell C. Martin, Bulacan IMO Administrative and Finance Chief Ma. Lourdes S. Dela Cruz, Bulacan IMO Institutional Development Unit Head Virgilio G. Marasigan, and the Bulacan IMO Staff.
Pampanga-Bataan IMO Manager Ruben R. Llamas, Tarlac IMO Manager Alvin Roberto A. David, Zambales Acting IMO Manager Rolando C. Espino, Aurora-Nueva Ecija Acting IMO Manager Arnel S. Alipio and Section Chiefs are all present in the activity.
