The Bataan Satellite Office of the NIA Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO), led by Engr. Ruela C. Musngi, conducted a coordination meeting with the BASADA Irrigators Association (IA) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dinalupihan on January 14, 2025. The discussion centered on addressing the BASADA IA's request to close the Gila Creek river channel upstream of Layac Dam.
The channel has been diverting water away from Layac Dam, hindering the accumulation of adequate irrigation water for the service area. To address this, the LGU of Dinalupihan committed to providing a hauling area for materials needed to construct an earth dam to close the channel. Meanwhile, NIA pledged to supply suitable hauling equipment to facilitate the implementation of this solution.
