The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO) rolled up its sleeves and took action, conducting an important desilting operation at the Lagumba Canal in the Gumain Division of the Porac Gumain River Irrigation System (PGRIS) from February 3 to 5, 2025.
Focused on clearing out silt, debris, and accumulated waste, this operation is designed to boost the canal’s capacity and efficiency. By improving irrigation, this initiative promises to support local farmers, enhancing crop yields and fostering agricultural growth in the region. This project benefits 210.10 hectares of farmland, ensuring a more reliable water supply for local agriculture. A step forward in strengthening both the environment and the community!
