To improve the efficiency of the irrigation system, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO) launched a desilting activity for the Lagumba Irrigators Association (IA) in the Gumain Division on November 12, 2024.
The project focuses on the removal of silt and debris from the irrigation canals to ensure the uninterrupted flow of water to agricultural areas. This maintenance work will directly benefit local farmers by enhancing the water distribution system, ultimately supporting improved crop productivity in the region.
PamBat IMO continues to prioritize the upkeep of irrigation infrastructure which aims to boost agricultural development and ensure a steady and reliable water supply for farmers, particularly in areas served by the Gumain Division. The successful implementation of this project is expected to contribute significantly to the sustainability of local agriculture.
