On July 11, 2024, the Porac Gumain River Irrigation System (PGRIS) of the NIA Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO) held an orientation on the Rice Contract Farming Program. The event was conducted in coordination with Calangain Irrigators Association (Calangain IA) in Calangain, Lubao, Pampanga.
The orientation aimed to engage and educate the local farmers about the benefits of the Rice Contract Farming Program, emphasizing increased productivity and sustainability. Attendees learned about the contractual agreements, financial support, and technical assistance provided through the program.
As part of the initiative, 2,042 sacks of fertilizers were delivered to the Calangain IA, underscoring the program's commitment to supporting local farmers with essential resources.
