To strengthen collaboration and address irrigation and agricultural concerns, the NIA Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO), headed by Division Manager Engr. Ruben R. Llamas, conducted a Systems Management Committee (SMC) Meeting for the Colo-Layac-Balsik River Irrigation System (CLBRIS) at the Bataan Satellite Office (BatSO) in Dinalupihan, Bataan, on November 18, 2024.
Facilitated by BatSO Acting Head Engr. Ruela C. Musngi, and the Operations staff, the meeting gathered representatives from DPWH 3rd District and the LGUs of Hermosa and Dinalupihan to align on initiatives for CY 2025.
Discussions included DPWH’s planned flood control projects, Hermosa and Dinalupihan LGUs’ agricultural programs, and PhilMech’s recent farm equipment donations. NIA also presented its project proposal and cropping calendar for 2025, aiming to enhance irrigation services, flood resilience, and agricultural productivity.
