To strengthen disaster preparedness, NIA Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO) took immediate action to assess the condition of irrigation structures on October 23, 2024 before the onslaught of Typhoon Kristine in the province.
Engr. Alexius S. Academia, Acting Operations and Maintenance Chief of Porac Gumain River Irrigation Systems, and Institutional Development Unit Head Reyna S. Sabado led a thorough monitoring of the Solib and Porac Dams. The assessment aimed to ensure the safety and functionality of these facilities amidst the rains brought by the typhoon.
NIA remains committed to its goal of safeguarding irrigation infrastructures while ensuring public safety during extreme weather conditions.
