NIA REGION III CONDUCTS 3RD DAY OF INTER-IMO CANAL VISITATION IN PAMPANGA-BATAAN IRRIGATION SYSTEMS

On September 4, 2024, NIA Region III, headed by Regional Manager Engr. Josephine B. Salazar together with the Inspectorate Team, conducted the 3rd day of the Inter-IMO Canal Visitation. The event focused on the inspection of the Pampanga-Bataan IMO and its irrigation systems, which include the Pampanga Delta River Irrigation System (PDRIS), Porac Gumain Irrigation System (PGRIS), and the Colo Layac Balsik River Irrigation System (CLBRIS).

PamBat IMO Manager Engr. Ruben R. Llamas led the team during the site inspections, accompanied by PDRIS O&M Chief Engr. Clarita G. Silverio, PGRIS O&M Acting Chief Engr. Alexius S. Academia, and Engineering Section Chief Engr. Angelito D. David. The visitation is part of NIA's initiative to regularly monitor and assess the functionality and condition of the region’s irrigation systems.

The event aimed to ensure the optimal performance of the irrigation systems to better serve the agricultural communities in Pampanga and Bataan. During the visit, the team evaluated the efficiency of water distribution and checked for necessary maintenance to improve operations.

The Inter-IMO Canal Visitation is part of NIA’s broader effort to enhance irrigation services across the country, aligning with its commitment to providing sustainable water resources for farmers and agricultural development.
