To support farmers in managing irrigation expenses and enhancing system efficiency, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Tarlac Irrigation Management Office (IMO) successfully rolled out the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Subsidy for the Wet Crop Season 2024 on February 19, 2025.
A generous total of PHP 9,165,557.55 was distributed among the three beneficiary federations. Tarlac CIS Federation Incorporated received PHP 4,511,091.23, the Samahang Magsasaka ng North Tarlac Council Federation (SMNTCF) got PHP 444,406.12, and the TASMORIS IA Federation Inc. bagged PHP 4,210,060.20. This disbursement is a testament to the government's unwavering support for local farmers, making sure they have the tools to grow and thrive.
The awarding ceremony took place at the NIA Tarlac Office in Jefmin, Concepcion, Tarlac. Engr. Alvin Roberto A. David, Division Manager of Tarlac IMO, took the lead in handing out the cheques to the Federation Presidents: Mr. Alfredo C. Magdangal of TASMORIS NIS, Mr. Renato Simbillio of Tarlac CIS, and Mr. Jesus N. Dayao, Treasurer of SMNTCF FIA. The subsidy is expected to go a long way in helping farmers meet their needs, improve crop yields, and fortify the agricultural sector in Tarlac.
