STEEP is one of the programs of NIA offered to the Irrigators Association (IA) to help them acquire strategies and techniques from other lAs that can help them improve the management of their association.
Annually, the IA Presidents of Tarlac IA Provincial Federation receive educational tours and field trips as incentives for their leadership. These tours provide them with valuable knowledge, techniques, and processes in agriculture and organizational management, including visits to various irrigation systems and facilities.
This year, from May 8 to 10, NIA Tarlac-San Miguel-O’Donnell RIS (TASMORIS) conducted their STEEP in Baler, Aurora. The TASMORIS Federation’s tour included visits to Laur Communal Irrigators Association and TABASACA Irrigators Association in Nueva Ecija on the first day, and the NIA Aurora Office and Disalit Dam in Aurora on the second day. This incentive helped them gain knowledge, techniques, approaches, and processes in agriculture and different aspects of the organization
