NIA ZAMBALES IMO AND ZAMFEDIA STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY COMMITMENT WITH RICE DONATION AND RENEWAL OF EPAHP AGREEMENT AT SFLCF

The Zambales Federation of Irrigators Associations (ZAMFEDIA) and the St. Francis Learning Center Foundation (SFLC) Inc. have renewed their partnership under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program by signing a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Marketing Agreement (MA).

The SFLC, managed by the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, provides educational assistance to young Aetas. This free school serves hundreds of students who reside in on-campus dormitories and aims to uplift Indigenous communities through education and holistic support.

The signing ceremony was attended by Acting NIA Zambales IMO Manager, Engr. Enrique G. Carlos, Acting IDU Head, Ms. Myrna C. Encarnacion, other staff members, and ZAMFEDIA officers led by Internal Vice President Mr. Mario Montalla.

This program is part of the government’s initiative to address hunger and food security issues and reduce poverty through the collaboration of various government agencies, state universities and colleges, and private groups/institutions, directly benefiting the poorer sectors of the country.

In conjunction with the MOU and MA signing, donated rice from the Irrigators Associations (IAs) across the province was delivered. This best practice by ZAMFEDIA supports SFLC students with essential food resources, highlighting the federation’s commitment to giving back to the community and ensuring the well-being of young Aeta students.
