In the aftermath of Typhoon Carina, the Porac Gumain River Irrigation Systems (PGRIS) Team from the Pampanga-Bataan IMO successfully restored the shutters of Porac Dam on August 13, 2024. Covering an area of 804.53 hectares with 781 farmer beneficiaries, this quick response was essential to control water flow and protect downstream areas. It ensures dam's safety and continued support for local agriculture during the ongoing Wet Cropping Season.
