SPR IA REAPS SUCCESS WITH NIA FARMING SUPPORT SERVICES PROGRAM

The San Pablo Roque Irrigators Association (SPR IA) has marked a significant milestone in its agricultural journey, completing a successful harvest under the NIA Farming Support Services Program. Located in San Roque, Floridablanca, Pampanga, the IA is thriving through the Porac Gumain River Irrigation Systems (PGRIS) of the Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PAmBat IMO) under the management of Engr. Ruben R. Llamas.

Thanks to the sustained support from NIA and the efficient management of irrigation under PGRIS, SPR IA members have achieved another bountiful harvest. Fields once lush with green and golden rice stalks have now yielded high-quality rice that will soon make its way to local markets through NIA Farming Support Services Program agreements. This program ensures that farmers are not only producing more rice but also receiving fair compensation and consistent opportunities for growth.

Participation in the NIA Farming Support Services Program has provided SPR IA with the assurance of a market for their produce while fostering a strong partnership with NIA. This collaboration not only secures farmers' livelihoods but also aligns with the national goal of food security and sustainable agriculture.

PamBat IMO continues to support IAs' participation in NIA programs like this, ensuring that the region’s farmers can maximize their potential and contribute significantly to the agricultural sector. As the farmers celebrate this season’s success, the future of rice farming in Pampanga looks brighter than ever with NIA’s steadfast support.

This success story underscores the importance of strategic partnerships between NIA and local farmers, proving that with the right tools, support, and resources, the agricultural sector will continue to flourish.
