Following the recent amendment to Memorandum Circular No. 147, Series of 2023, which raised the subsidy rate from P150 to P500 per hectare per cropping, the NIA Zambales IMO has disbursed the Operation and Maintenance Subsidy for Dry Crop 2024 to various Irrigators Associations (IAs) from both NIS and CIS in the province amounting to P4.005 million.
With the collaborative efforts of the O&M Section, led by Engr. Tito M. Lacanlale, IDU Head Ms. Myrna C. Encarnacion, AFS Chief Ms. Ruby Lennie V. Dela Cruz, and under the guidance of Acting Division Manager Engr. Enrique G. Carlos, aims to provide significant support to farmers. This subsidy will help them maintain their irrigation systems, ultimately contributing to increased agricultural productivity and enhancing food sufficiency.
