Led by Carrangalan Municipal Mayor Hon. Rogelio Abad and Vice Mayor Hon. Eric Manucdoc, Carranglan LGU officials were all ears with NIA's Proposed Project in Maringalo that will not only be for irrigation purposes but shall also be a potential source for non-irrigation components such as power generation, solar power, tourism, aquaculture, and in the long run, shall open opportunities for infrastructure development. Administrator Guillen emphasized that this shall address persisting issues in food security and flooding in the low-lying areas.

Also, an advocate of this agenda, ASEC Jason Alba of the Office of the Senior Deputy Executive Secretary, added that this type of Multi-Use Project must be supported as this will also be an asset for potable water source.
