The Pampanga Delta River Irrigation System (PDRIS) of NIA Pampanga-Bataan IMO successfully distributed 169 bags of rice seeds on May 30, 2024. The seeds, in a variety of NSIC 222: Tubigan 18, were allocated for 82.2 hectares of farmland managed by Turu Manembu Irrigators Association (IA) and Maunlad na Macusan IA. An additional area of two hectares belonging to Adriano Estate IA also received seed allocations. This distribution effort is part of NIA's ongoing support for the Rice Contract Farming Program, aimed at enhancing rice production and supporting local farmers. The initiative underscores the commitment of NIA Pampanga-Bataan IMO towards agricultural development and food security in the region.
