NIA Senior Deputy Administrator Engr. Robert C. Suguitan, together with OIC-Deputy Administrator for Engineering and Operations Sector and the concurrent Regional Manager of NIA Region III Engr. Josephine B. Salazar, spearheaded the conduct of the writeshop for the NIA Central Luzon Cluster on the Formulation of the Regional Irrigation Master Plan (RIMP) on June 26-27, 2024 in Lubao, Pampanga. NIA Corporate Planning Services OIC-Department Manager Engr. Reynaldo D. Nilo and UPRIIS Department Manager Engr. Gertrudes A. Viado are also present in the activity. It aims to refine, clarify, and integrate sections of the RIMP, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic objectives.
The participants will engage in discussions to identify essential data requirements for comprehensive coverage and strategic alignment in the plan. It targets to provide a unified understanding and direction for the development of a comprehensive and integrated RIMP that will maximize the utilization of water resources and increase agricultural output in the Central Luzon.
Officials from NIA Central Office Engineering Department, Operations Department, Corporate Planning Services (CorPlan), NIA Region III, UPRIIS, DA Regional Field Office III, DA Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) participate in the writeshop.
