On July 5, 2024, NIA Tarlac San Miguel O’Donnell River Irrigation System (TASMORIS) successfully facilitated the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing for the Fuel Subsidy Program, benefiting the Tarlac Groundwater Irrigation System (TGIS). The Institutional Development Staff led the event and saw the participation of the Presidents of TGIS from the municipalities of Pura, Ramos, Victoria, Anao, La Paz, and Concepcion, as well as representatives from Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.
This initiative is part of NIA’s ongoing efforts to support farmers, reducing the financial burden amidst the rising fuel cost. By providing the said subsidy, NIA aims to ensure food security and welfare of the farmers who play a crucial role in agricultural productivity.
