On July 17, 2024, the NIA Zambales IMO Institutional Development Unit conducted a Farming as a Business (FAAB) Training Workshop for Buklod Sta. Rita IA and Hubol San Isidro IA. The workshop was opened by the Acting O & M Chief Engr. Tito M. Lacanlale, along with the Acting IDU Head, Ms. Myrna C. Encarnacion, and staff. This training aligns with NIA’s Strategic Policy Agenda to provide capacity building to the Irrigators' Association and to sustainably enhance the income of low-income, smallholder farmers. It familiarizes new and potential farmers with the basics of running small farm enterprises and allows them to explore farming with a comprehensive understanding of farm management and business planning.
