Despite the heavy rains brought by Typhoon Carina and the ongoing impacts of the Southwest Monsoon, the Samahang Magsasaka ng North Tarlac Council Federation of Farmers Irrigators Association (SMNTCF) successfully reopened their KADIWA market on July 26, 2024. Held at the NIA-CAMRIS compound in Malacampa, Camiling, Tarlac, the event was spearheaded by SMNTCF President Mr. Rodenio T. Sotero, with the support from NIA Tarlac Irrigation Management Office (IMO).
The reopening of KADIWA aimed to provide affordable products to the local community, offering a range of items, such as sitaw, ampalaya, fried itik, patola, chicken pastil, papaya, spaghetti, latik, lumpianada, okoy, and many more. This initiative not only supported local farmers by selling their produce at low prices but also provided much-needed relief to the people affected by the recent adverse weather conditions.
