On July 26, 2024, the NIA Zambales IMO and the Irrigators Association of the Nayom Bayto RIS Federation of IA (NBRIS FIA) joyfully took part in Brigada Eskwela at Bangcol Elementary School in Brgy. Bangcol, Sta. Cruz, Zambales. This collaborative effort with the Department of Education is in support of the implementation of the “Brigada Eskwela 2024” with the theme “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan” with the goal of fostering "Bayanihan" spirit in the community by creating a great learning environment for the students and preparing the school for the upcoming academic year.
The event was graced by the presence of the NIA Zambales Acting IMO Manager, Engr. Rolando C. Espino, the Acting Head of the Institutional Development Unit, Ms. Myrna C. Encarnacion, and the Acting Head of NBRIS Satellite Office in Sta. Cruz, Mr. Oscar M. Madarang. Also joining from the Irrigators Association was the Federation President Mr. Mario E. Montalla, along with the Irrigators Association Presidents of the NBRIS FIA. The Barangay Officials, the school head teacher, Sir Jonathan M. Anasco, and the teachers of the school were also there to support the activity.
The Irrigators Association's involvement included donating and distributing cleaning materials, antiseptic, and disinfectant items that will greatly benefit the school, and NIA provided snacks and manpower for all the event attendees.
This generous contribution reflects their social responsibility and ongoing commitment to support education and community development.
