During the Ceremonial Turnover of Various Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Equipment of NIA on August 7, 2024 at Global Construct City, Mexico, Pampanga, NIA Central Luzon Regional Manager Engr. Josephine B. Salazar had the honor to present the lei to President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., the Guest of Honor and Speaker for the said event.
A total of 148 units of O&M equipment were turned over to 17 NIA Regional Offices nationwide as part of the 2nd Tranche of the Agency's 3-Year Refleeting Program from CY 2023-2025.
Engr. Salazar also served as the representative in receiving the symbolic key of 78 heavy equipment for Luzon Island Group. Out of which, 11 will be utilized by NIA Region III in the development, construction, operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of irrigation systems/projects. All aimed towards fast-tracking irrigation development in the region.
