As the Typhoon Kristine continue to ravage the region with intense rains, Engr. Alexius S. Academia, Acting Chief of the Porac Gumain River Irrigation Systems (PGRIS) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) under the NIA Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO), conducted a crop inspection in the Gumain area today.
The inspection was meant to evaluate the condition of crops nearing harvest and to identify any potential damage caused by the typhoon, ensuring timely interventions to mitigate losses for local farmers.
This measure shows NIA’s commitment to enhancing agricultural resilience and safeguarding farmers' livelihoods during adverse weather conditions.
