The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Office III successfully conducted its Training-Workshop on Capacity Skills Development for Hydrologists at Sinagtala Farm Resort in Orani, Bataan on November 4-13, 2024.
The event, participated by the region's Planning and Design Section (PDS) and Irrigation Management Offices, aimed to address knowledge gaps by providing participants with training that would enhance their understanding of hydrological analysis methodologies, efficient using and processing of the data gathered on site, and evaluating the hydrological aspect of the project.
The training included lectures, presentations, and a one-day fieldwork session at Labangan River in Abucay, Bataan. Resource speakers from the NIA Central Office—Engr. Rowell D. Dula, Engr. Inah Luz V. Baluran, and Engr. Joyce Anne Mae S. Villegas—led the sessions.
NIA officials, including Engineering and Operations Division (EOD) Manager Engr. Christian C. Manalo, PAMBAT IMO Manager Engr. Ruben R. Llamas, and Planning and Design Section Chief Engr. Kristoffer A. Santiago attended the workshop.
In the programs’ closing ceremony, Acting Project Planning Division Manager- Engr. Roald Marck J. Revellame delivered his virtual message to the participants emphasizing the importance of the workshop in enhancing hydrological expertise to improve irrigation development of the region.
